Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a process in which the client and the therapist meet to examine areas of emotional and social difficulties which are affecting the client. These difficulties may occur in school or work performance, in relationships, or in day to day living.
Couples Therapy
Married couples today feel increasingly isolated and are expected to manage their lives and families without the community supports that in the past were a primary resource in raising children and meeting family needs.
Goals for couples include: increase respect, affection, and closeness, break through and resolve conflict when you feel stuck, generate greater understanding between you and your partner, keep conflict discussions calm, and maintain improvements in your relationship.
Group Therapy
Therapy groups are different from support groups in that they are led by a professional and often deal with issues on a deeper level. The support and honest feedback from group members can be extremely helpful.
Group offers a safe place for members to reveal themselves more fully and to experiment with different ways of being.
Assessment
Psychological and educational assessments are important tools for gaining a deeper understanding of a person's diagnosis, aptitude and academic achievement, personality characteristics, and therapy treatment recommendations.
Comprehensive psycho-educational and social-emotional evaluations are provided to help identify learning disabilities, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, pervasive developmental delays, and emotional difficulties such as anxiety and depression.
