Fees
As a solo-practitioner, Dr. O’Malley does not have the administrative resources to participate in many insurance programs.
Currently, she participates only with the Anthem network. Dr. O’Malley, is, however, licensed in Virginia as a Clinical Psychologist. Your insurance company may reimburse you according to guidelines they have established for out of network providers.
She will provide statements for clients to submit to the insurance company so that they can be reimbursed directly. She will also provide information to the insurance company should they request it, to facilitate reimbursement, with the client’s written permission.

Determing Benefits
In order to determine what your benefits are:
- Call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card (for Mental Health).
- Tell them you will be seeing a licensed psychologist that is an out of network provider.
- Ask what the reimbursement rate is. It varies between companies and contracts.
- Ask if you must meet an annual deductible before your benefits go into effect.
- Ask if there is an annual or lifetime limit on what they will pay.
- Ask if there is a maximum number of visits allowed per year.
- Ask when your contract year starts each year.
- Record the name of the person you spoke with and the date of your telephone call.
